houserules

We have taken very good care of our house and we do have some house rules that we ask that you follow.  Please follow our rules...... thank you.  

 

ABSOLUTELY no smoking (of any kind) in the house, front porch or on the premises. 

 

We only allow a maximum of 8 overnight guests at a time. 

 

Guests must supply their own linens and towels which you can bring or rent from Martha’s Vineyard Linen Rental at www.marthaslinenrental.com or 774.563.5843.  The beds in the cottage are as follows:

Bedroom #1 (1st floor) with King bed

Bedroom #2 (2nd floor) with King bed

Bedroom #3 (2nd floor) with King bed

Bedroom #4 (2nd floor) with two single beds

Bedroom #5 (2nd floor) with one single bed

No pets of any kind.  No pets mean no pets .... sorry.

Most importantly, have a wonderful vacation!

LEASE IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:                                

  1. That no more than _8_ persons (including CHILDREN) shall occupy said premises.  

  2. That NO PETS of any description shall be kept in or upon the premises. NO PETS MEANS NO PETS!                                               

  3. Registration: All tenants must register at the MVCMA Office upon arrival or not later than the next regular business day.       

  4. Tenant and General Rules: Failure of a tenant to abide by the MVCMA rules and regulations may result in the eviction of the tenant and all members of the tenant’s party from the cottage and MVCMA property. At registration, tenants must sign an acknowledgement of familiarity with the rules and regulations and an agreement to be bound thereby.               

  5. Occupancy: Tenancy is defined as (1) the use and occupancy of the cottage in the absence of the owner or (2) the payment of or the expectation of a consideration in money or otherwise for the use of all or part of the cottage. No tenant may occupy a cottage between November 1 and April 1.        

  6. Vehicles: Tenant vehicles parked on MVCMA roads or parking areas must display a current MVCMA hang tag on the inside rear view mirror. Hang tags are obtained from the MVCMA Office at registration.

Other vehicle rules:                                                                                          

  1. A vehicle hangtag or sticker must be displayed on the specific vehicle for which it was issued and may not be transferred to another vehicle.   

  2. Tenant vehicles must park in the space(s) assigned to the cottage. Tenants not provided parking by cottage owners may lease space from the MVCMA Office on a weekly basis.

  3. Vehicles may not be parked overnight on MVCMA streets.

  4. The speed limit for vehicles traveling within the Campground is 7 MPH.              

  5. Motorcycles and motor‐driven mopeds are not permitted on MVCMA property. Mopeds may be pedaled in the Campground.                                                                

  6. Boats, trailers, campers and RVs may not be parked on MVCMA property.                

  7. Trash: Trash is collected on Mondays and Thursdays in July and August and on Mondays only September through June. Trash must be in bags and placed out for collection no later than 8:00am on collection days. Trash left out on non‐collection days must be in a covered and secured container.

  8. MVCMA trash bags must be used for trash to be collected by the MVCMA. MVCMA trash bags may be purchased at the Museum Shop, behind the MVCMA Museum.  

  9. Yard waste must be in approved paper yard waste bags, which do not require a MVCMA trash bags.    

  10. Recyclables are not collected by Campground employees. Consult the cottage owner for proper disposal of recyclables.                  

  11. Pets: Tenants and their guests are not allowed to have pets in cottages nor on MVCMA property.     

  12. Quiet Hours: All cottages must be quiet from 11:00pm to 8:00am.      

  13. Personal Non-motorized Vehicles: Bicycles, skateboards, longboards, scooters, roller skates, and in-line skates may be used on MVCMA roads.  Bicycles must be walked on walks and pathways.  Skateboards, longboards, scooters, roller skates, and in-line skates are not permitted on walks and pathways.  Motorized versions of these personal vehicles are not permitted on MVCMA property

  14. Fires: Open fires are not permitted. Charcoal fires in braziers or covered grills off the ground must be a minimum of 10 feet from any building or vehicle. No fire of any kind is permitted in Trinity Park. Please do not leave fires unattended.

  15. Right of Access: MVCMA employees and agents have the unfettered right to access tenant‐occupied cottages for the purpose of providing security to the premises, for emergencies, and to investigate reported or suspected violations of MVCMA rules and regulations.
