Family & Cottage History

Our parents started to vacation in Martha's Vineyard in the early 1960's and after renting various campground cottages for over 20 years, they were fortunate to learn from a friend that 47 Trinity Park was going up for sale.   Before the house was even listed, our parents extended an offer and they purchased the cottage back in the Fall of 1982.

As second generation owners, we feel very fortunate and blessed that we can carry on the tradition of cottage ownership.  For our family, this is truly is our happy place.

Our mom was a high school teacher who spent her entire summers at the cottage and once she retired from Newington High School as a home economics teacher, she lived here from May through October and enjoyed over 30 full summers here at the cottage.

An interesting fact about this house is that it once use to be 2 cottages.  You will notice that both the left and right side of the house have a large front door.  The reason is that it use to be 2 separate cottages that were eventually combined.
