We really enjoyed your home.  Location was everything!   And although we were on vacation, your place is so well appointed it made us all feel like home.  The thoughtfulness in every corner of the house was greatly appreciated.  The beds were so comfortable every night while we were there was a great night sleep! And I would be remiss if I did not tell you how much we loved our slow mornings with coffee on the front porch! Every rocking chair became our friend.  Thank you again for sharing your home, it made our stay in MV 2024 very special.

We had a wonderful time staying at your home and revisiting the island.  I hope you will find we treated the cottage as our own.  The kitchen was very well equipped, (sharp knives and all) for a group that loves to cook and we much appreciated the varied  tools to launch our day with morning coffee.
Your preparatory videos we much appreciated.  The house had great flow and the new mattresses were so comfortable.

Ken, you've been an attentive and gracious host and we hope our stay falls into the happiness category of the former rather than latter.

One word: Exceptional! I am grateful for being back in the "Cottage City" campgrounds since the late 70s and finding how little has changed. Ken's cottage is upgraded and gorgeous inside, yet remains quaint and charming on the outside. The view from the porch rocking chairs faces the tabernacle and is very serene. The location to Circuit Ave. (the main street) is a mere few minutes' walk. It became our custom to walk to Mocha Motts (great coffee!) every morning and to get the best ice cream ever from Ben and Bill's every afternoon. The very first place I worked was the Oak Bluffs Bakery, which is now called Back Door Donuts. It was really fun to get in line behind the store at 9pm to get fritters, which has been famous on-island for decades! We parked our Jeep Compass and Mini Cooper right on site - very convenient and safe. Evenings were quiet and having the windows open while sleeping with the island breeze was wonderful. The porch is fantastic and has five rocking chairs and a picnic table as well, for eating, playing games, etc. It rained while we were there and it was amazing to sit on the porch and enjoy it with our coffees. We really enjoyed greeting visitors entering the campground and had many nice chats with people from all over. Zero problems with the WiFi and television, which allowed us to log in to numerous streaming platforms if we wanted to. Key to any vacation rental is the communication with the owner. Ken gets 10 stars! We began to email, call, and text months before our check-in and continued to talk until the day we left. No question went unanswered and he is a pleasure to rent from. In fact, I asked about next season already!

My extended family and I have just returned from a 10-day stay at the 'This is Summer' cottage in Oak Bluffs. It was a lovely experience from start to finish!

Our host, Ken, was quick to reply to all questions during the leasing process and stayed in touch while we were there, in case any issues came up. The home itself was spacious, clean and fabulous; be aware - it will spoil you for any other MV accomodations! The location was perfect for walking into town for coffee, groceries or shopping. There was all-night parking for 2 cars, right behind the house, which is a much appreciated rarity. There was a doll house for my granddaughter, games for the whole family, and the outdoor rain-head shower speaks for itself.  We are still debating as to what was our favorite feature of the house: the new kitchen, the overhead fan in the downstairs bedroom or the front porch with 5 rocking chairs!

We are relatively new to renting our cottage and  here are some testimonials of people who stayed at the cottage during the 2021 and 2022 season.  We thought that it might be a good idea to post testimonials from some of the guests who have stayed with us so that it gives you a better sense of what you can expect when you rent from us.

The house and location are perfect! It is literally steps from Circuit Ave. You can walk to restaurants, beaches, the ferry and everything Oak Bluffs has to offer! The house itself is great. It is much bigger than I expected for a campground cottage. There are 5 large bedrooms, a very good-sized kitchen with all the amenities and a large living room. Most of your time will probably be spent on the front porch though. It has ample seating including rocking chairs to relax in after a day of sightseeing or the beach and a table and seating to eat your meals at while enjoying the sea air and view of the tabernacle. Ken was a great host! He replied to questions immediately and sent us instructions and videos before we arrived and was available to answer more questions during our stay. We loved this place and hope to come back next year!

Our family spent two weeks in late summer at “This Is Summer” cottage on 47 Trinity Park in Oak Bluffs.  The cottage has been beautifully updated and was very comfortable and inviting for our family of eight.  Plenty of dishes, silverware/utensils, glasses and pots and pans to go around.  Since the cottage is located on the corner of one of the entrances to the Campground, one of the neatest things was to be sitting on the porch and hearing the comments of people walking in and seeing the cottages for the first time.  It was a good reminder of what a special place this is.  Also, the location is so close to Circuit Avenue that walking to the grocery store takes less than a minute.  And, yet, you are still far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the island and able to enjoy the quiet peacefulness of Trinity Park from a rocking chair on the front porch.  This was a great place to stay.

My family loved our week at this beautiful home in the Campground!  The description was perfectly accurate and the owner was very communicative and helpful.  This home came with all the basics you will need such as toilet paper and dish soap (unlike some Island rentals).  The outdoor shower is great!  You are close to everything in Oak Bluffs here.

Do not miss this Oak Bluffs one of a kind gem.  The location could not be better as everyting is a 3 block walk to the carousel, restaurants, shops, beach and ferries.  The house is even better from the newly updated kitchen, laundry and bathroom to the ample and comfortable bedrooms it is such a great place to stay.  For me, the best part was sitting and rocking on the chairs on the amazing porch and watching the world go by in a quiet, special community of wonderful homes.  We already booked for next summer before checking out!  Ken is a marvelous and attentive host who made sure we had friction free check in and out.  Very considerate.
